Here's what we did this summer.

We went to Belgrade to meet the family there. I have some pictures of them but haven't asked permission to put them on the web yet.

Here's one of N and E enjoying a unique experience at Belgrade's Ada leisure park - they were being towed by their bicycling father!!
N.B. Those are not my thighs!

We went to Brittany to see Nonna and Papad and Suzie the Dog. I have no digital pix unfortunately. With them we went caravanning, swam a lot in the lake and also swam in the sea, which was a first for both.

We engaged in some 'dangerous sports'

N and E also did workshops in theatre and music.
E learnt to swim (although she didn't take her first independent strokes in Brittany a lot of credit goes to Nonna in particular on this one.)
N read a new book almost every day.
They spent a lot of time playing with the boys next door. And fighting.

With their remaining time they mostly created huge 'villes' together. This involves using everything they can lay their hands on from Lego to cushions to kitchen equipment to manufacture immense obstacles throughout the house and garden and leads to passionate interventions if an adult moves or tries to use something, along the lines of "Mummeeee, you've destroyed Betty Flower's house now".

There were, amazingly, also moments when they sighed that they didn't know what to do now. But that's OK. I read somewhere that kids have to be allowed to get bored sometimes. LOL.
