These are pictures of the first part of our Canada trip in August 2007, the first Canada trip for us all and also the first trans-Atlantic trip for the girls, who were really stars throughout, adjusting very quickly to the time zone difference and getting into the holiday mood, as these pics bear out. All of the following were taken while in Montreal.

At the Science Museum by the old port, great place for kids, tons of interractive & educational stuff to do.
At the Bio Dome near the Olympic stadium, and what you see behind is the tallest slanted building in the world. Some spectacular views from the top, but no good photos to show you that, you'll have to see for yourself.

Fooling around in the streets of the Vieux Port. Lovely area with some great restaurants, and a lot of tourist traps, but they are oh so pleasant.

The very impressive Bio-sphere and its museum/play area, also great for kids.

In the play area, Nina is discovering a possible cause of the mysterious disappearance of some ships on open sea. This machine simulates gas bubbles which come up from the ocean bed and can be so significant that they totally overturn any boats on the surface in their path and push them down in the water in the process.

Another view of the Bio-sphere from the other side.
